California Academy of Sciences

calacademy1The California Academy of Sciences is a must-see for anyone interested in space as well as the Earth and the fragile ecosystems that make it tick. Explore the galaxy at the speed of light and check out the latest not-to-be-missed digital planetarium show. Come face-to-face with over 38,000 live animals, discover the wonders of the rainforest and dive deep into a virtual ocean. The California Academy of Sciences is open Monday-Saturday from 9:30am to 5pm and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Tickets include all exhibits and shows; arrive early for guaranteed seating in the planetarium show.

Aquarium of the Bay

1Open every day except Christmas Day, the Aquarium of the Bay offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover the wonders of a wide variety of sea life native to the San Francisco Bay area. Gaze in awe at the Giant Pacific Octopus, observe the silent splendor of Sevengill Sharks and watch graceful jellyfish dance through their habitats. Every day offers a different blend of special events, included in the price of admission, making each visit to the Aquarium unique. This is a must visit during any San Francisco city tour. The Aquarium opens at 10am during weekdays and 9am on the weekends; closing times vary.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not
